| Tension diffusing: After talks with PM, PDP to decide future strategy on Sunday | | | New Delhi, March 22 Putting a brake on the rumors making rounds for past some time about collapse of coalition over the issue of reduction of troops, the former state chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed after a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that the later has agreed to continue the discussion on the issue. Only yesterday Mufti had adopted a stiff posture that his party cannot wait for a long time, neither it would accept a ‘window dressing’ over the issue. After today’s meeting with the Prime Minister Mufti while talking to media persons was heard in a different tone, indicating a sudden change in his stand. However, sources within the party told News Agency of Kashmir that, the final course of action would be taken only at political affairs committee meeting to be held on March 25. Sources said that a consensus would be developed about the future course of action only after the return of the party patron. The issue has become a subject of constant disagreement between the state Congress and PDP, the two main alliances even threatening the very survival of the coalition government in the state.
