| Information Department organises debate, cultural programme at Poonch | | | JAMMU, MARCH 22
District Information Centre Poonch organised a debate contest and cultural programme at Public Higher Secondary School Mendhar here this morning.
Principal Mr. Manzoor Hussain Shah was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
As many as 20 students drawn from various classes participated in the debate competition on the topic ‘Importance of peace for all round development of the society’.
The artists of Border Cultural Club Poonch presented a scintillating cultural programme and enthralled the jam-packed audience with their melodious Urdu, Kashmiri, Punjabi and Dogri songs.
Addressing the parents, staff members and students, Mr. Shah highlighted the services of Information Department and thanked the District Information Centre for organising such debate and cultural programmes in the school. He urged upon the authorities to also organise a mega composite mushaira in the month of April at Tehsil Information Centre, Mendhar.
Later, Mr. Shah distributed prizes among the participants. |
