Following holiday on March 31 for Income Tax Offices in Jammu and Kashmir, the receipt counters of the Income Tax offices at Jammu and Srinagar, shall remain open on March 27, which is also otherwise a holiday, from 10 am to 2 pm for receipt of income tax returns.
Rajesh Raina Income Tax Officer, Technical, in a handout, has asked the income tax assesses in particular to file their return well before the last date to avoid inconvenience due to the last minute rush. The assesses, who are required to pay tax have been asked to deposit the same before March 31, which is a bank holiday.
