| Gen Singh visits Northern Command Hqs. | | | JAMMU March 31
Chief of the Army Staff Gen J J Singh, on his visit to Northern Command Headquarters today, held discussions with the senior officers of the Command.
Lt. Gen H S Panag GOC-in-Chief Northern Command, who received Gen Singh at Bikram Helipad Udhampur, briefed him on the operational situation.
Expressing satisfaction on the operational preparedness of the forces deployed in Jammu and Kashmir and the successful counter terrorist operations being conducted by the Army, General commended the command for its spontaneous assistance rendered during ‘Operation HJamsafar’ and the continued help provided to the civilians in the past few weeks.
Gen Singh has cautioned all personnel to remain vigilant and be ready to face any challenge posed to them, a defence handout said.
