| ABVP organizes blood donation camp | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | March 23
The activists of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad today organized a blood donation camp in memory of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev.
University teaching staff and students donated blood in large numbers and paid homage to the brave sons of Bharat Mata.
Speaking on this occasion, chief guest IGP S P vaid appreciated the contribution made by freedom fighters to make Bharat free from the foreigners. He further appreciated ABVP saying it is the only student organization doing such activities in the student community and appealed to student community to come forward for the service of nation.
Dr. Kumkum Sharma, head of blood bank made students aware about the benefit of blood donation and said that ‘Rakt daan is jeevan daan’.
Romesh Pappa, senior ABVP, organizing Secretary, highlighted the achievements and sacrifices made by the three freedom fighters of India. He appealed to the youth to follow the path of Bhagat Singh and fight for their rights.
The Hindustan Republic Front today organized a function to pay homage to three freedom fighters, they also took out a procession to mark the occasion, which was flagged off by Surinder Singh Shingari, corporator.
Speaking on the occasion, Rohit Sharma, president HRF appealed the youth to follow the example set by the trio of Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev.
