| Several organizations pay homage to Martyrs | | | Jammu March 23 To Commemorate the 76th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, several political and non political organizations and NGOs organized functions across Jammu and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for attaining freedom from the British Imperialism. Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha at a function organized with its state President Pawan Khajuria in chair paid homage to the martyrs and garlanded their portraits. While paying tributes the State BJP Vice President Satish Sharma reminded the gathering about the role of these martyrs during the India’s freedom movement. The others speaker who included Ajay Jamwal BJP General Secretary, Secretary Yudhvir Sethi,Pawan Khajuria while paying homage to the Martyrs said that country which is passing through a critical phase of militancy needs nationalists heroes like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev . Bahujan Samaj Party leaders and activists paying homage to the martyrs called upon the countrymen to take inspiration from the Martyrdom of Sukhdev, Bhagat Singh and Rajguru and protect the country from external and internal dangers faced by the country. The speakers including Dr Sat Paul threw light on the role of the martyrs in India’s freedom struggle. Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee headed by H C Jalmeria at a function organized at Rani Park here remembered the martyrs and paid glowing tributes to the freedom fighters who made supreme sacrifices to make the country free from the yoke of British Imperialism. The speakers observed that Bhagat Singh did not visualize such India after 60 years of Independence and felt that India needs more people like Bhagat Singh even today. Among others who paid their homage included K K Koushal, Parveen Kesar, Sukhdev Singh, Ravi Singh,Gopal Sharma and several others. All India Students Federation also organized a function to commemorate the 7th martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru and paid rich tributes to these martyrs and maintained that the growing employment, rising prices, illiteracy, exploitation, regionalism, terrorism and the casteism is the bane of capitalism and imperialism. Duggar Pradesh Party also paid its homage to the martyrs at a function held under the chairmanship of its President Udhay Chand and accused the successive rulers for deliberately ignoring the great sacrifices of the freedom fighters.
