| PNB launches Farmers’ Club at Dumana | | | JAAMMU March 23 Punjab National Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Zone, today launched another NABARD sponsored Farmers Club, named as ‘Kissan Sahayata Farmers Club’ (KSFC) at Dumuna near here. The club functionaries shall sponsor agricultural and other loans to the banks and help bank in recovery and forming credit linking self help groups, besides helping farmers in marketing of agricultural produce. Announcing the launch of the KSFC, Zonal Manager of the Bank Vivek Arya advised the farmers to avail various facilities and benefits available to them under the Farmers Club previously known as Vikas Volunteer Vahini. He advised the farmers to shift to crash crops like flower cultivation, mushroom, vegetables, fruits and aromatic plants to augment their income. B K Gurkhoo senior manager PNB Dumana said that Dumana branch has been put on national network of CBS branches with state of art technology. He said expansion of agriculture credit to farmers of the area remains the main priority for the branch and advised farmers to open zero balance accounts in large number with the branch.
