| Iqra Foundation celebrates WWD | | | Rajouri March 23
Iqra Foundation today organized an impressive function to celebrate the World Water Day (WWD) at Nowshere in Rajouri district today. A large number of people participated in the function.
The speakers at the function including Chief Executive of the Foundation Shabir Ahmed Rather stressed the need for judicious use of water and called for creating awareness among the masses about importance of conservation of water.
The Foundation also launched plantation drive in the district by planting saplings in the premises of Government Middle School Nariana Potha.
GMS to provide vocational training to educated youth
Poonch March 23- G A Ganai Memorial Society,(GMS), a Non-governmental organization, intends to provide free vocational training in different crafts like cutting, handicrafts, stenography and computers to the unemployed youth, widows and orphans of the district.
The society also envisages setting up of a mobile dispensary for the people living in far flung and remote areas, besides a school for destitute.
The society at a function distributed free blankets and domestic articles among the poor and needy people of the area.
