Charak pays homage to Bhagat Singh

To pay homage to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukh Dev Thapar on their 76th martyrs day, Charak presided a function at Vijaypur today. The function was organized by block congress committee and youth congress committee of Vijaypur and Purmandal jointly.
Paying rich tributes to the martyrs, Charak said that their sacrifices have not only paved way for freedom of the country but also laid a strong foundation of secular India. He said that the best way to pay homage to these leaders is to nurture their patriotic ideas and work for strengthening the sovereignty of the country.
Recalling the sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukh Dev and Raj Guru, Charak said that these revolutionary leaders who pioneered Hindustan Socialist Republic Association and inspired their contemporaries to wage a war against foreign rule. He said that their dedication and determination gave a new imputes to the national movement that ultimately saw the dawn of India’s independence.
Earlier, Minister for Roads and Buildings Gulchain Singh Charak and Minister of State for Education S. Manjit Singh inaugurated upgradation work of Channi Swankha Nandpur via Chak Balotra road in Vijaypur constituency today. The road is being improved and upgraded at a cost of Rs. 2. 71 crore under NABARD funding.
Speaking on the occasion Charak said that Rs. 41 lakhs would be spent on the construction of 2-km long Sarva-Rundwan link road and Rs. 71.97 lakhs on construction of 1.75 km link road of Amuwal-Sungwal under NABARD funding.
Addressing at Vijaypur, the Minister said that government is aware of the proble of the people and is committed to provide basic amenities to them at their doorsteps and road connectivity has been given priority in this regard.
He said that with the completion of these roads various villages of the border belt have been interconnected and made approachable to the urban areas.
Capt. Amar Nath Bhatti, President BCC Vijaypur, Bhagat Gouri Shanker Ex-MLA, Sarbjeet Singh, Bashir Ahmad Malik, Dr. B. R. Bhagat, Rachpal Singh, Ajmer Singh, Anil Jamwal, Ganesh Sharma, Tirath Ram Bahagat, Anil Jamwal, Saudgar Gupta, Ravi Sharma and various others prominent citizens spoke on the occasion.
