| PDP trying to find face saviour in New Delhi: NC | | | Jammu, March 23 As the talks between Peoples Democratic Party and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh remained inconclusive, opposition party National Conference has accused the ruling party of indulging in political gimmickry on the name of `demilitarisation’ and now trying to find a face savior at New Delhi. In a statement, here today, party spokesman said that the as the demand of troops reduction has been rejected by Prime Minister, PDP leadership was “preparing grounds in Delhi with the blessings of the Union Government to find a face savior”. “PDP being unable and unwilling to sacrifice power for what they had termed their article of faith are now struggling in the corridors of power in New Delhi seeking a face savior”, the spokesman said adding, “the much stated stand on demilitarization was diluted from demilitarization to phased demilitarization to troop relocation and now we understand that they are ready to settle for just a committee to talk about demilitarization”. History, he said, is replete with many instances where Mufti Mohammad Sayeed first raised sensitive political issues on the pretext of projecting the cause of the people of the state and then settled down for petty bargain in a bid to cling to power. |
