One day awareness camp for sheep breeders

Anantnag, March 23
The Sheep Husbandry department organized one day awareness camp at Dak Banglow today. A sizeable number of sheep breeders and chopans participated in the camp which was presided over by MLA Bijbehara Mr.A.R.Veeri. The sheep breeders were apprised about the latest techniques of sheep rearing and measures to be adopted for control and treatment of the diseases afflicting sheep population.
On the occasion the Sheep Husbandry Officer said that the sheep population in the district is expected to go up to 3.86 lakh including 3.11 lakh cross bred by the end of March 2007.
Later MLA, Mr. Veeri distributed cash prizes and seed kits among the sheep breeders in the camp.
