Every year on 23rd March the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), its one hundred eighty seven members and the world wide meteorological community celebrate World Meteorological Day. The theme for the year 2007 is “Polar Meteorology: Understanding global impacts”.
To celebrate the day, Air Force Station, Jammu organized a small function. On the occasion Flight Commander Met of Air Force Station Jammu briefed all meteorological personnel of the station and emphasized upon the importance of Polar meteorology in Indian Air Force environment, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release.
