Jammu, March 24
As a part of Army’s ongoing Operation Sadbhavana and military civic action projects carried out in Jammu and Kashmir, the Gurj Division, today organized a women health awareness camp at Bani and Machhedi areas of District Kathua. The four days camp will continues till March 27 at Government Higher Secondary School, Machhedi (Kathua).
Women and adolescent girls from Loal, Katili, Malhar, Mular, Loga/Nathi, Uroda, Badnota, Sadnota, Duggan , Najot and Nangala and other far flung areas of the district would be attending the awareness camp. Sex education including awareness of AIDS and its prevention and the evil of foeticide would also be emphasized upon. The aim of this camp is to spread awareness about basics of woman’s health, so that women and young girls of the area could lead healthier lives.
