| Indian team should be more serious, fans less passionate: BJP | | | NEW DELHI, MAR 24 The BJP today offered a bit of advice to India's cricket team after their near-exit from the World Cup, saying they were required to be a bit more serious in their game. BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi held out another piece of advice for fans as well, saying they should rather be less passionate about cricket. "Our team should be a bit more serious about cricket because it is a passion in our country. But, at the same time, fans too should take it as a game and not as some sort an addiction," Naqvi remarked. His comments came in the wake of Indians losing their key league match against Sri Lanka in a virtual crashout of the World Cup. The team now has to hope that Bermuda can pull off a miraculous win over Bangladesh to remain in the competition.
