‘Sapno Ka Safar’ released

‘Sapno Ka Safar’ a poetry book of Jenab Irshad Ahmad Khan, ‘Irshad’, IFS principal chief conservator of forest was released by Nami Dogri Sanstha-The Art Foundation in collaboration with Maikash Kashmiri Literary Society.
Prof. Davinder Singh famous Punjabi writer was the chief guest on the occasion, Dr. Agnishekhar, famous Hindi writer and poet was the special guest whereas the function was presided over by S.S. Anand ‘Lehar’ renowed Urdu short story writer, poet and senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India.
Vijay Puri and Om Vidyarathi also expressed their views on the book.
Thereafter, three poetry items of Irshad Ahmad Khan were presented in their melodious voice by Sham Sajan, Subash Langeh, Neelam Langeh and Chanchal Sharma. The singers were accompanied by Vijay Anand on Dholak, Shavinder Kumar on Guitar and Anil Raina on flute. The melodies presentation thrilled everyone and the music was composed and arranged by Dogra Harish Kaila, president NDS.
Irshad Ahmad Khan ‘Irshad’ then shared his selective excerpts of poetry and his poetic work, which were highly appreciated by one and all.
Agnishekhar, in his address said that the poet has nicely expressed his feelings in his poetic work, which he said has aesthetic, romantic, social, human and sympathetic flavour.
Davinder Singh, while expressing his views congratulated Irshad Ahmad Khan for his maiden creative venture. He said lot more can be expected by the poet in his future poetic endeavours. He described the publication a meaning full creative poetry covering a vast canvass.
S.S. Anand ‘Lehar’ in his address said that it is laudable that despite hectic official commitments, Irshad Ahmad Khan ‘Irshad’ has been able to continue his creative endeavours and made new addition in Urdu literature.
He also appreciated the publication of this book in ‘Devnagri’, which enables the Hindi-knowing people as well to read it.
Yash Pal ‘Yash’ General Secretary, NDS and Jenab Amin Banjara, Convener Maikash Kashmiri Literary Society compered the proceedings. Capt. Lalit Sharma Convener NDS extended vote of thanks.
