Jammu, March 24 –Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Cultural and Language organized North Eastern Folk Song and Dance Festival in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala was inaugurated today at RANJIT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, Rakh Bandhuwala, Kunjwani. Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education Aijaz Ahmad Khan was the Chief Guest Sh. Ranjit Singh Amn, Chairman, Ranjit Education Trust, Shri T.R. Sharma, Additional Secretary, J&K Cultural Academy, Dr. Sheetal Gupta, Principal, Ranjit College of Education and Sh. Haroon Rashid, Deputy Secretary, J&K Cultural Academy, Jammu were also present. Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan while speaking on the occasion congratulated the artists from Mizoram, Assam , Haryana and H.P for performing their scintillating folk Dances. He also congratulated J&K Academy of Art, Cultual and Languages, North Zone Cultural Centre Patiala and Ranjit Educational Trust for collectively organizing such a mega event. He said that cultural interactions help not only to Unit but it is beneficial for global oneness. Earlier, S. Manmeet Singh Amn founder trustee, while welcoming the audience and distinguished guests thanked, Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Cultural and Languages and North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala for providing the Ranjit Educational Trust an opportunity to organize such a mega Inter State Cultural and Folk Dances performance. Mr. T.R. Sharma, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Cultural and Languages presented vote of thanks while Mrs Rajni anubhav conducted the proceedings in a befitting manner.
