| Army organizes ‘Run for Fun’ on March 27 | | | Udhampur, March 25
Indian Armed Forces and Government of Andhra Pradesh is hosting the 4th Military World Games (MWG) at Hyderabad and Mumbai from 14 to 21 October this year. As a pre cursor to the 4th MWG a ‘RUN FOR FUN’ is being organized at Udhampur military station on March 27. The mega event is likely to draw huge participation by personnel of Northern Command of Indian Army, Air Force and their families. In addition, a large number of students of schools and colleges of Udhampur are also likely to join military personnel in the run.
Lt Gen HS Panag, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command will flag off the event at Dhruva Golf course. The run will be conducted in three categories of 400m, 2.5Kms and 5Kms. It is expected that approximately 500 people will participate in the event. The run, besides creating awareness amongst Military and civilians regarding Military World Games will also promote health awareness amongst all personnel and children.
