Jammu March 25
A deputation of Dogra Brahmana Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS), led by its President Dev Raj Baru, today called on Mangat Ram Sharma Minister for Health and Medical Education and demanded that April 19 should be declared as a Gazetted holiday on account of Bhagwan Shri Paroshuram Jayanti.
The deputation presented a resolution passed by the Sabha demanding, among other things, allotment of 10 kanals of land within Municipal limits for construction of a students’ hostel.
The other members of the deputation included Virender Mangotra, Shakti Dutt Sharma, Jangan Nath Sharma, Shanti Saroop Baru, Purshotam Chander Sharma, Dr L D Shastri, Pawan Shastri, Gurdas Sharma, Jagdish Thappa,Veer Bhan. Santosh Mangotra, Rishi Prashar, Dr. K. C Sharma, Lakshmi Chand Prohit and Brahmrishi Pt Jagan Nath Raina.
