Police goes high-tech; Suspected HM militant undergoes Naro-analysis test

Jammu and Kashmir Police, which is playing a key role in anti-militancy operations, has gone high-tech with the use of Ultra Modern techniques of Polygraphy and Brain Mapping.
Official sources revealed that the police have started using the latest available techniques to extract information from the accused persons during interrogation. Though no infrastructure was available in the state, police was taking the help of forensic laboratories situated in outside the state, a senior police officer said.
It was learnt that for the first time in history, Jammu and Kashmir police sent subjected a suspect militant to Naro-analysis test in order to ascertain his involvement in various incidents.
The accused was part of a Hizbul Mujahideen module which was busted by the police in Kulgam district by apprehending five Over Ground Workers.
A police spokesman said that on February 11, police busted a module of HM involved in series of subversive and apprehended Reyes Ahmed Dar alias Bulla Dar s/o Ghulam Hassan Dar, R/O Churat Kulgam along with his associates Jehangir Ahmed Ganie alias Bilal s/o Bashir Ahmed, Sabeel Javeed alias Shanu Khan, s/o Javeed Ahmed Khan, Mohammed Yousuf Ganie s/o Abdul Ahad residents of Daulatabad Qazigund and Habibullah Itoo alis Habloo s/o Ghulam Hassan R.S.Pura Qazigund.
Kingpin of the module, Rayees Ahmed Dar alias Bulla was referred to Forensic Science Laboratory Bangalore-68 for conducting his Polygraphy, Brain Mapping and Narco tests.
If police has to be believed, the accused confessed his involvement in various militancy related incidents during the tests.
Police said that it has solved number of case including FIR No: 210/2000 U/S 307 RPC, 7/25 Indian Arms Act, FIR No: 198/2002 U/S 307 RPC, 3/5 Explosive Substances Act, FIR No: 30/2006 U/S 307 RPC, 3/5 Explosive Substances Act, FIR No: 248/2006 U/S 307 RPC, 7/27 Arms act and FIR No: 258/2006 U/S 307 RPC, 7/27 Arms act.
