| Health seminar held | | | Jammu, 25 March 2007
A Seminar on Health Awareness for families of Army Personnel was organized under the aegis of Crossed Sword Division Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) at Akhnoor on 24 March 2007. The Seminar was inaugurated by Mrs Sunita Malik, President AWWA and attended by approximate 600 families of the formation.
During the seminar lectures were delivered by learned doctors of Army Medical Corps. Stress was on Prevention and First Aid in various house hold emergencies like burn injuries, heat stroke, electrical shocks and insect bites. Prevention of HIV / AIDS was also addressed. Literature on prevention of HIV / AIDS was displayed and distributed to the gathering, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release.
