| Vikar for enhancement of wages for VDCs | | | Jammu, Mar 26
Senior Vice President Pardesh Youth Congress Vikar Rasool Banihali has urged the government of enhancing the honorarium of Village Defence Committee Members.
As per a press statement, Vikar said that the members of these committees have been defending their people at the risk of life since last eight years. He said these valiant persons have been instrumental in pushing back the militants active in higher reaches of the state besides, assisting the security forces in anti insurgency operations.
He urged upon the government to increase their honorarium keeping in view the increasing inflation of essential commodities. He said that government has taken so many bold decisions including enhancement of wages of SPO’s Anganwari Workers etc. He said recently government has assured the ReTs to enhance their wages adding that they also deserve a sympathetic treatment by the Government keeping in view their services.
