Ramgarh, Mar 26 The 46th death anniversary of Shaheed Bachhan Singh Randhawa, Seaman was observed as ‘Balidan Devas’ at village Barotra (Ramgarh) where MLC R.S. Chib was the Chief Guest. The function was presided over by Col. M.K Beliappa, commanding officer, 11 Mahar regiment. The ceremony started with laying of wreaths by MLC RS Chib, Col. Beliappa, Prem Lal, President, Bachhan Singh Randhawa Memorial Committee and other dignitaries This was followed by a public meeting in which rich tributes were paid by the persons who participated on the occasions. While addressing the gathering, Chib complimented the parents of Shaheed Bachhan Singh Randhawa and said that late Ch. Balu Ram and Premi Devi were proud parents of a martyr, who gave up his life for the cause of the nation. He said Shaheed Randhawa belonged to village Deva Batala (now in Pakistan), which is a land of warriors, and added that people of this area, who have settled along the Indo-Pak border and Actual Line of Control have played a vital role and helped the army in defending the mother land. Col. Belliapa said that he felt honoured by presiding over the function, where a martyr belonging to Indian Navy is being remembered on his 46th death anniversary and appreciated the role of civilians along the border. Those who spoke on the occasion included Prem Paul, Ch. Jasbir Singh Lucky, Isher Dass, Capt. Dev Raj, Dr. B.S Choudhary, Hav. Mohan Lal, NK. Jeet Ram, Satpal Salarabi, Ch.
