| Ousted Excise employees protest enters 54th day | | | Jammu, Mar 26 The protest/demonstration of C-IV ousted Govt. Employees of Excise & Commercial taxes Department has entered into 54th day. The protest is continuing in front of Excise and taxation Railhead complex, panama chowk, Jammu. State president of association, Adil Rashid Khan told that due to a number of holidays in the month of March 2007, the movement on the file of retrenched Class IV employees has been delayed. He demanded the officials of finance department and general administration department to ensure that a decision on the retrenched employees is taken by the government at the earliest. Prominent leaders of EJAC of Jammu Division Girdhari Lal Chanda, S.B. Bakshi, while addressing the protesting retrenched employees of Excise & Commercial Taxes department strongly stressed the state Govt. to take prompt action to concede the genuine demands of the ousted employees. Other association leaders who spoke on the occasion included Rafiq Ahmed Qazi (State Gen. Sec.)
