| Various schools celebrate Christmas with religious fervor | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 24: Various schools within the city and across Jammu region celebrated Christmas with religious fervor and enthusiasm. JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School, Talab Tillo celebrated Christmas in the school premises today with splendid pomp and fun. Little ones presented a short assembly with inimitable grandeur. The programme commenced with a carol sung by the students and followed with the birth of "Jesus Christ". The little ones carried the day with their scintillating items. They mesmerized the audience looking resplendent and ethereal in their exquisite costumes. Apple Kids International Pre-School, Gandhi Nagar, celebrated Christmas Day amid cheers of kids, staff and management in the school premises. The function was started by active participation of toddlers singing the Christmas song 'Jingle Bells jingle bells jingle all the way'. Christmas carols and tree decoration was the theme of the day. Children were beautifully dressed in Mother Marry, Santa Claus and fairy Dresses. Everyone wished each other a Merry Christmas. JK Convent School, Subhash Nagar celebrated Christmas day in school premises wherein a colorful dance and fancy dress competition was held. One of the kids who was dressed like Santa distributed sweets to all teachers parents and children present there after that prizes were distributed among winners of dance & fancy dress competition by chief guest. A Christmas celebration programme was organized at Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana in which students and faculty members participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Gaurav Charak, Principal of the school was the Chief Guest, whereas Vice Principal of the school Anku Charak, presided over the function. The performance of little ones playing various characters from the life of Jesus was highlight of the programme. The audience was enthralled to see so many fairies and Santa Claus around them distributing sweets. To add to the spirit of Christmas, carols were sung by the students. The students also welcomed the year 2014 by singing and dancing. IPS Kidzee and Mount Litera Zee, Kathua celebrated the Christmas with utmost joy. The children came dressed in the vibrant attire of Santa looking forward to celebrate X-mass. The school organized individual class party for every class wherein they shared and ate with each other while singing X-mass carols. The occasion echoed with X-mass carols along with the Santa dashing inside the school premises merrily surprising the students and giving them gifts. Anu Dogra (chairperson) along with Mili R Sumbria, the Principal of IPS (Kidzee) Kathua, wished all the children and teachers on the occasion. NITL High secondary School Udhampur celebrated Christmas. An impressive function was organized by the school to Celebrated Christmas, in which Principal of the School Ajay Gupta, teachers, staff Members and students were Present. Students decorated Christmas tree with glittering buntings, bells, stars, gifts and sweets. Students presented Cultures items based on the theme of Christmas. At the end of the function Principal NITL School convey a message and appealed to all to follow the path of love, brotherhood and peace for the betterment of whole mankind. Meanwhile A colorful programme was organized by the Dream Land Public High School Udhampur to celebrated Christmas day. On the occasion of the Christmas day function Students Presented different items based on the theme of the Christmas. Principal Dream land Public School Sudeshwar was also present in this occasion. In a similar Christmas festivity organized at R M Public School Chowadhi in which students and teachers participated enthusiastically in the occasion. Chairman R.M Public School Rameshwar Mengi Trustee R.M College of Education attended occasion as chief guest and presented awards to winning students who participated in different contests. Mrs Reeta Mengi Principal R.M College of Education, P K Dhar, Principal R.M Public School Mrs Ravinder Kour Vice Principal Mrs Shashi Jamwal Administrator Ms Meenakshi Sharma also were present in this festivity Yet in another Christmas celebration, KC Gurukul Public School Ploura celebrated Christmas with traditional gaiety in school premises. Chairman Arvind Mahajan, Principal Dr B R Dogra and Headmistress Mrs Mamta Singh wished 'Merry Christmas' and distributed sweets to students and gathering.
