| 'Inter college antakshri' contest held in Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 24: An "Inter College Antakashri" contest was held here between Bhagat Kabir and Baba Farid College of Education Kathua.
The teams from Vivekananda, Dayananda & Aurovindo Houses of Bhagat Kabir College and their counter parts of Nehru, Gandhi and Tagore Houses of Baba Farid College participated in this contest.
Prof Ram Murti Sharma Director of these colleges was the "chief guest" on this occasion. The programme was compeered by Sarika Sharma & Jyoti Bala, whereas a panel of Parveen Kumar, Minakshi Sharma and Jitin Chawla acted as jury.
Bhagat Kabir College secured 43 points as against 42 points secured by the team of Baba Farid College of education. During the proceedings of occasion Devinder Kumar, Dipika, Preeti Bala and Veena Devi also performed some entertaining cultural items.
Speaking on the occasion chief guest exhorted upon the students to come forward and ensure their maximum participation in such co-curricular activities so that they may develop self-confidence enough to tackle the younger generation properly. Mrs. Preeti Bala, Principal of Bhagat Kabir College and Kishore Kumar Sharma, Principal of Baba Farid College also spoke on the occasion.
Mrs Minita Pathania, Ajay Sharma, K. R. Soodan, M. L. Mehra, BDC Katoch, Nisha Tangotra, Harpreet Kour, Monika Gupta, Anuradha Mahajan, Renu Chib, Anupama Sharma, Jatinder Singh, R. S. Dutta and others were also present on this occasion
Earlier programme started with traditional lamp and concluded with National Anthem. |
