| HM militant eliminated in Mahore | | | Reasi | Mar 26
A militant of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) was eliminated by the Police party Arnas during a search operation at Leggani Kharog under the jurisdiction of Mahore Police Station this morning. Meanwhile, a Chinese grenade and a binocular was recovered from the spot of encounter.
Giving detail about the incident, SSP Reasi JL Sharma told that Police booked information about the presence of heavily armed militants under the command of most wanted militant Abdul Haq alias Jahangir also Battalion Commander of HM at Village Leggani Kharog. Thereafter, a police party swung into the action and cordoned off the village. In the meantime, police party was attacked by the militants with grenades and open fire. In retaliation, Police managed to eliminate one of the militants Nazir Ahmed, son of Mir of Barnali. Meanwhile, a Chinese grenade and a binocular was recoverd from the spot of the encounter. The search operation was on when report last come.
