| RAMNAVMI CELEBRATED WITH RELIGIOUS FERVOR | | | Jammu, March 27 The religious festival of Ram navmi, marking conclusion of nine day long navratra festival was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety in Jammu on Tuesday. Though various temples witnessed huge rush since early morning but ancient Bahu Fort temple remained the centre of attraction at it witnessed heavy rush. Devotees break their fast after performing pooja at the temple and distributing Kanjak. Devotees from nearby places thronged the temple complex since early morning for the second day together shouting slogans in praise of Bawae wali Mata and later had a glimpses of the deity installed in the temple. The local police authorities had made elaborate security arrangements in and around the holy shrine to avoid any untoward incident. The temple was well decorated with flags and buntings and langers and stalls of parshad were installed at various places. Activists of various social and religious organisation were deployed in large number and were also seen assisting the managment of temple during bahu fort mela. Apart from this another famous Mahamaya temple also witnessed heavy rush of devotees since early morning. Langar was also organsiedby various social organizations. Special poojas were performed in different temples of the city, which were specially decorated on the occasion of RamNavmi.
