| Hawan at Badrikali temple organized, Muslims also attend | | 'Our birth place is Home land for us' | | Handwara, Mar 27 Our home land is our birth place and those propagating for separate home land has sell out their land in valley. Advocate Bushan Lal Chairman Badrikali Asthapna Committee today said that the real home land for Kashmir pandits is the place where they were born and brought up. Soon after the members of Kashmiri Pandit community reached the village Badrikal in Handwara area of north Kashmir today to celebrate Ramnovmi, Muslims of entire area well-commed them with the same spirit and love they had in early nineties for them. Emotional Muslims hugged their friends of child-hood who had left valley after eruption of turmoil. “I have no words to express how much happy I am today” a local resident told NAK adding that despite being apart from them we have same love and respect for our Pandit brothers and sisters. A group of three hundred Kashmiri pandits men and women presently residing in various parts of the country, reached here to organize Hawan at Mata Badrikali Mandir. “We are continuously organizing this Hawan from 2004 and have completely renovated this Asthapna of Mata Badrikali” Chairman Badrikali Asthapna Committee, Advocate Bushan Lal Pandita said, adding “we were joined by the members of majority community, police and district administration”, he said. He said that no such Kashmiri Pandit who has saved his mother land to which these political leaders are terming as home land can again settle on it soon after the atmosphere of valley become conducive. “When our Muslim brothers feel themselves secure we won’t hesitate to come back” he added. The Hawan was organized for the prosperity and communal amity in the valley on the eve of Ramnovmi, which was attended by hundreds of Muslims of the area. Special prayers were made for the restoration of peace in the Kashmir valley. “Kashmiri culture is in our blood though one can feel empty without holding it high” a lady doctor Sarla said adding that none of Kashmiri who so ever he is can change his traditions. Having faith in this ancient temple of goddess Badrikali which is the source of inspiration and peace for all those who offer worship there, she added. A young KP girl a student of B. Sc part 1st had all praises for the Muslims of the valley for their love and respect. “it is entirely different what people outside Kashmir have been talking about kashmiri muslims” said Meenakshi who had left valley at the age of five.
