Ousted FPF Guards’ protest dharna enters 18th day

The protest dharna by the ousted Forest Protection Force (FPF) Guards continued for the 18th consecutive day today outside the Divisional Commissioner’ office here
The ousted employees are demanding re-appointment in the Department as they claim to have been selected by the Service Selection Board in 1996 and worked in the department for several years.
Ramesh Manhas President of the ousted employees union has once again appealed to the Chief Minister and the Forest Minister to reconsider their case afresh and withdraw the retrenchment order on humanitarian grounds.
The union leaders claimed that the ousted employees have been duly selected by the recruiting agency and have even gone for arms training and served the Force for over three years.
Ravi Dutt, General Secretary FPF Union, while addressing the agitating employees conveyed his thanks to different employees’ organizations, including Joint Action Committee and J&K Teachers Association, for extending their full support to the striking employees.
