Jammu, March 27 The traditional Shoba Yatra of Ramnavmi was taken out throughout the city of temple which marks the end of 8-day Navratra festival in Jammu city today evening. The famous yatra which passed through the main bazars of the city after starting from Raghunath Ji temple and then proceed to Raghunath Chowk, Residency Road, Shahidi Chowk, Rajinder Bazar, Kanak Mandi, Puranimandi, Link road, Thounthali Bazar, Panjthirthi, Mubarak Mandi, Chowk Chabuutra, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar, Raj Tilk Road, City Chowk then cultimated Raghunath Mandir Jammu. Thousands of devotees were standing in ques along the entire route and welcomed the yatra with flower peltings and slogans of mafaji. The jhankies, which participated the shoba yatra included Mahakali temple, Bahu-fort, Asha Ram Ji Bapu, Raghunath Mandir and many others, which, attracted the splendid applause of the spectators through their chanting of bhajans and depicting various cultural traditions of Jammu region. It is worth mentioning here that whole of Jammu region witness a week-long spell of Pooja during Navratras which comes to ceremonial and through the famous shoba yatra of Ramnavmi on the eve of Birthday of Lord Rama. Among others, President Dharamarth Trust Mr. Dewakar Singh, Secretary Dharamarth Trust Madam Vijay Gandotra, Mayor Municipal Corporation Jammu Mr. Narinder Singh, President Sanatam Dharam Sabha and Mr. Dharni Dhar Sharma accompanied the procession. |
