Brother duo denied justice by Revenue officials for want of money
Naib Tehsildar defied order of MoS Revenue, Deputy commissioner, Tehsildar
3/27/2007 11:33:30 PM
R S Pura | Mar 27
Corruption is rampant in the revenue office of RS Pura Tehsil where justice is being denied to the poor and even the officials sitting at helm of affairs demanding bribe money from the people for their settlement of their cases. Mohan Lal and Raj Kumar a brother duo of village Salehar, RS Pura are also the victim of this corruption ridden office.
The duo is struggling for the last many years for the restoration and possession of their own land which was illegally occupied by some people. But the concerned officials in the Tehsil office were deliberately not giving the possession of the land to them due to some ulterior motives. It is to mention that they had purchased land measuring seven kanals and 16 marlas situated at village Salehar in the year 1998 and got it registered on their names.
Later on, two persons Munshi Ram, son of Chhaju Ram of the same village and Gurdas Chand, son of Dhana Ram of Gandli, R S Pura illegally occupied the land measuring one kanal and 19 marlas out of the said piece of land. Unable to vacate the land from the illegal occupants, victims lodged a case against them in the office of Tehsildar (Settlement). After the enquiry Tehsildar ordered for the restoration of the possession and directed Naib Tehsildar Circle No 4, Maralian Miran Sahib to execute the order on spot.
But, the concerned Naib Tehsildar instead of implementing the order demanded bribe money for the settlement of case. Thereafter, victims again approached to the Tehsildar which again directed the Naib Tehsildar to implement the order. But this time he came up with excuse that their file has been misplaced. The trend remained same as the concerned officials deliberately kept the process of land possession to the victim on hold and defied the Tehsildar’s order. finally, the victim went to the Minister of State for Revenue for the justice but again the concerned officials showed his high handedness and not even the touched the case despite order from the minister.
Meanwhile, the bother duo has alleged that the official concerned is hand in glove with the illegal occupants as he has illegally passed the stay order on the said piece of land despite of the fact that land genuinely belongs to them. Now, it is be watched that finally who will be able to help them as the concerned official is hell bent to defy any order in this regard be it from minister or any other.
