Chappell says he wants to continue, mum on SMS
3/27/2007 11:38:51 PM

NEW DELHI, MAR 27
Coach Greg Chappell has said that he was not planning to resign in the wake of India's debacle in the cricket World Cup, NDTV reported today.
The channel said that Chappell also described media reports from India claiming that he was quitting as rubbish and said that he had not taken any decision yet.
Chappell, whose contract ends with the World Cup, said he would decide about his future only after he returns to India, the channel said.
He also declined to comment on the sms he had sent to an Indian journalist in which he alleged that he did not get the team of his choice in the World Cup. In the same SMS, he also claimed that the senior cricketers opposed the inclusion of younger players when the squad was picked.
