| PDP condemns security forces highhandedness | | |
Srinagar , March 28:
Peoples Democratic Party has strongly condemned Pattan and Khanyar incidents in which security forces personnel resorted to merciless beating of common citizens & indulged in eve teasing on Monday.
In a press statement issued here, Syed Basharat Bukhari MLC and spokesman PDP termed these incidents unfortunate and outrageous. He said that such incidents do not augur well at a time, when there is a general yearning for peace and normalcy in the state, and the peace process initiated by India and Pakistan is entering into decisive phase.
Mr. Basharat Bukhari demanded stern action against the erring officials of the security forces who were responsible for these deplorable incidents. The PDP spokesman also expressed grief and anguish over Hyderpora incident in which poor labourers were crushed to death by a over speeding CRPF vehicle. He demanded ex-gratia relief and jobs to next of kin who lost their life or got seriously injured in the incident.
