Jammu, Jan 12: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to constitute committee on 7th pay commission, release of 11% DA due from January 1,2014 in favour of both Central/State Governments employees and pensioners before the applicability of code of conduct. Stressing on the need for early merger of 50%DA with the basic pay/pension Shastri said that as per the recommendation of the 4th pay commission, as soon as the DA crosses 50% mark, the Central Government is under obligation to merge 50 percent DA in to basic pay/pension. Addressing a largely attended NMC workers rally here, Shastri urged PM to intervene personally and take decisions in this regards in the next union cabinet meeting so that uncertainty among the employees and pensioners in these issues will come to end. Highlighting that next DA installment to Central/State governments employees and pensioners is also becoming due at the rate of 11 percent due from January 2014 said and adding that to catch up Central government employees and pensioners, the State Govt. should also release immediately 10% percent DA to its employees and pensioners. |
