Jammu, Jan 12: Debating on a topic "Viable Solution to address the aspirations of Jammu Region" organized by Jammu State Morcha in Press Club were of unanimous opinion of forging unity for a separate statehood for Jammu region to end the decades' long discrimination with the region.
The seminar which was presided over by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Major General (Retd) was among others attended and addressed by Ashwani Sharma (M.L.A), Tulsi Dass Langeh, President BSP, Udey Chand, the President of Duggar Pradesh Party, H.S Jalmaria, General Secretary, Nationa Panthers Party among other speakers were present.
Tulsi Dass Langhey highlighted the discriminated meted to the people of Jammu region at the hands of Kashmiri rulers since 1947and said that people of Jammu region suffered in all walks of life; in development activities, in services, in allocation of funds.
Ashwani Sharma endorsed the demand of separate state for Jammu region and said that separate state can only address the grievances of the people of the region. |
