Jammu | Mar 28 The slow and sleepy investigation of Police into the murder mystery of cement tycoon Rajinder Bhushan Chopra has been silently killing the trade in Jammu city, as most of the businessmen planning to shift their businesses out of the city fearing threat to their lives from these uncaught brutal killers. Meanwhile, Chopra sons have sought information from Police about the progress in the murder case. They have also demanded immediate CBI probe into the case in the wake of Police failure to trace the culprits. According to sources, there is unrest among the elite trading class of Jammu city in the aftermath of Police failure to nab the killers of Raju Chopra. “We have completely lost our faith in the Police machinery and fearing the same fate at the hands of killers as happened to Raju Chopra” said one of the prominent traders of city on the condition of anonymity. On one hand, where state government has launched campaigns to attract investment in state to make it economically sovereign, the slow and sleepy investigation of Police in much hyped murder case like ‘Chopra murder case’ has left a big question mark over the security concerns of the trading community on the other side. Feeling insecure the traders are now planning to shift their businesses out of Jammu to save them and their trades from the criminal elements freely roaming in the city. According to reports, traders are even considering Srinagar as much more secure destination than Jammu. Some of them have even framed the modalities for shifting of their trade and others are also following the suit. It is to mention that Raju Chopra along with his wife, daughter and two servants were brutally murdered by some unknown killers during the intervening night of September 19, 2006. Thereafter, several Special Investigation Teams (SITs) were framed to probe into the murder mystery but remained fail in doing so. Since then more than six months have been passed but Police was still clueless.
