| Rumors about killer virus creates panic among mobile users | | BSNL rules out any such threat, appeals subscribers not budge to rumors | | Jammu, Mar 28 After bomb blasts and IEDs, the mobile phones have become a source of terror in Jammu and Kashmir following the rumors spread through SMSs about the anonymous calls that could inject tumor virus in human body if attended. However, ruling any such threat BSNL authorities have appealed the subscribers not to pay heed to such rumors, describing these as baseless. Talking to local news agency, BSNL General Manager Mobiles Jammu said that these are merely rumors as no Exchange can generate such a number adding “if there is any, BSNL would not entertain such number through its exchanges. He appealed to the subscribers not to pay heed to such rumors and avail the mobile facilities without any fear. Meanwhile, the rumors which started first from Samba area of Jammu about a particular number are rife that could transfer tumor virus into a person who attends the call from that Number. |
