| Azad appeals NC, Hurriyat to join working groups | | | Kulgam, March 28 Immediately after reaching newly created district of Kulgam, Chief Minister Mr, Ghulam Nabi Azad was given unprecedented and rousing reception by a mammoth gathering of 25 to 30 thousand people. Since 1990 this was the ever largest gathering which had assembled in an open maidaan chanting pro Azad, pro Tarigami slogans. The Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Kulgam Mr. Tarigami, MLC Mr. M.A. Bhat, General Secretary PCC Mr. Paddar and other political leaders. Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad while addressing mammoth gathering said that Jammu and Kashmir State which passed through dark tunnel of turmoil during last 18 years is now fast ushering towards everlasting peace and prosperity. He said both centre and state government during last 17 months have unanimously adopted 3 pronged strategy for bringing peace and stability to the state. He said on one hand two governments of India and Pakistan are frequently engaged in the process of signing series of CBMs and on the other hand at domestic front Prime Minister of India convened two Round Table Conferences and constituted five working groups which are successfully carrying out the assigned job. He said Prime Minister along with Ministers and Secretaries himself came to Srinagar for 2nd Round Table Conference which shows his seriousness in the matter.
