| Security tightened at airports before Team India's return | | |
NEW DELHI, MAR 28
Fearing a backlash from irate fans following Team India's pathetic World Cup show, security has been beefed up at the airports in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore where the players would land later tonight.
Shown the door in the West Indies after finishing with just one win and two defeats, including a humiliating drubbing against Bangladesh, the Men in Blue would be returning home, hoping to escape the fans' fury.
The cricket-crazy people have already attacked Mahendra Singh Dhoni's under-construction house in Ranchi and pelted stone at Zaheer Khan's restaurant in Pune.
To prevent similar incidents, police have tightened security at the residences of Dhoni and Zaheer.
Police in Mumbai are also not taking chance and they have increased security for Sachin Tendulkar's house.
Similar steps have been taken for Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble and Robin Uthappa's residence in Bangalore and Harbhajan Singh's house in Jalandhar. |
