| Awareness camp for Veer Naris organized | | | Udhampur, Mar 29 Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), Khadi and Village Industry Commission (KVIC) jointly organized an awareness camp under the aegis of AWWA, Northern Command at Dhruva Auditorium, here today. The camp featured stalls from KVIC showcasing the range of products of Cottage Industry of J&K. The KVIC officials suggested viable projects which could be undertaken by the wards of Ex-servicemen (ESM) and Veer Naris. s Annie Panag, President AWWA Northern Command along with other functionaries interacted with the widows / mothers of soldiers who laid down their lives for the country during various operations, to know their well being and problems faced by them. President AWWA expressed deep gratitude to the Veer Naris for having taken the trouble to come for the meet even from distant, remote villages. She said the Nation will always remain indebted for the supreme sacrifices made by them and maintained that Veer Naris are part of the Army family and will be taken care of in every possible manner. She listened to their problems and assured that suitable action. Specialized medical facilities like Gynecologist etc along with were medicines provided on-the-spot aid to the Veer Naris and their dependents. President AWWA also presented gifts to the Veer Naris on the occasion.
