| 8 months imprisonment, fine awarded in theft case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 24 : Railway Magistrate Jammu awarded eight months imprisonment and fine Rs 1000 to Mohd Zaffar who was facing trial in theft of motor-cycle.
Railway Magistrate Jammu Sandeep Gandotra after hearing P/O Yogesh Nagpal for the state observed that accused has made a confessional statement and case is proved against the accused to the satisfaction of this court and keeping in view of his young age he is sentenced to undergo eight months imprisonment and fine Rs 1000/-.
According to the prosecution case that on April 4, 2013, complainant Deepak Singh lodged a written complaint at Police Post Nehru Market that his motorcycle has been stolen from his house and as such FIR NO 80/2013 was registered and accused was arrested by the police and challan was presented in the Court u/s 379 RPC.
