| Bail to murder attempt accused rejected | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 24 : Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu S C Katal rejected the bail application of one Prince Kumar who was arrested by the police for murderous attack on one Sham Lal on land dispute.
CJM Jammu after hearing CPO Sanjay Kohli for the State observed that the report submitted by the police that the accused named case registered against FIR NO 6/2014 u/s 307/34 RPC and 4/25 Arms
Act along with other co-accused namely Ashwani Kumar and Suresh Kumar with their common criminal intention to kill one Sham Lal attacked him with sharp edged weapon on January 9, 2014 who was shifted to hospital and still is under treatment and the accused keep enmity with the complainant over land dispute. Court observed that the case is still under investigation and as per the police weapon of offence are yet to be recovered from the accused persons and further observed if the accused is granted bail there is every possible change to influence the prosecution witnesses as such that the case is exceptional one where at this initial stage of investigation bail should not be given to accused person and dismissed the bail application.
