Jammu, Jan 24 : Model Academy the prestigious school of MIER and Humming Buds the preschool celebrated Republic Day at both its branches, BC Road and R. R. School with immense zeal, enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.
According to press release, Rupa Gupta was the chief guest on this occasion. Other members present were Dr. Chitra Mishra, Principal Model Academy, Ruchika Gupta Project Director Humming Buds, UshaGadoo Vice Principal and UshaChuni Convener Sports.
Speaking on the occasion, Rupa Gupta said that they should salute the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the independence of India.
She further stressed upon the students to love their country, contribute towards its development & be true Indian.
Dr. Chitra Mishra advised the students to be disciplined in life and be helpful to people in need.
She also asked the students & staff to pay their respect & tributes to brave soldiers guarding out borders. The school was decorated with tri-colour balloons, ribbons & posters.
The exhibiting was inaugurated by Dr. Adit Gupta Joint Director MIER. The display was judged by Mrs. Komal Dutt, Lecturer MIER College of Education and Chetna, the Arts teacher of the school.
A cultural programme added grace to the programme.
The students presented colourful patriotic songs as a mark of respect to their freedom fighters. The students of the residency road branch of the school also paid a visit to Balidan Stambh. |
