Adhkuwari cave to remain closed for Darshan in February: CEO
'Renovation of Old Temple Complex'

Katra, Jan 27: In view of the renovation work of old temple complex and widening of the passage leading to the Holy Cave at Adhkuwari, the same will remain closed for Drashans for the next one month. Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) said that work was apace on the renovation of the old temple complex at Adhkuwari, wherein a large queue system leading to the Holy Cave is being setup. He said that the outer passage leading to the same is also being widened for better access. "To ensure unhindered work close to the Holy Cave, it has been decided to keep the same closed for Darshan for next one month, during which period the work will be completed", Bhandari said, adding that the Civil Wing of the Board has been asked to ensure time bound completion of the work.
