Jammu, Jan 27: After the a grand success of National Lok Adalat on 23.11.2013, the State bank has again come out with an OTS scheme for small borrowers Defaulters with outstanding loans of Rs 5.00 Lakhs. This was disclosed by Dy General Manager (B&O) J&K Pradip Ray in a press conference held in Jammu. He said that total Rs 253 cr is outstanding amount of defaulters in J&K State were Jammu leads in defaulters owing Rs 170 cr of rupees and in Kashmir, defaulters owe Rs 71.72 cr. The total number of defaulters across the state is 7982, out of which 4417 belongs to Jammu province and 3565 belongs to Kashmir province. To give one more chance to these defaulters, Bank has again come out with OTS scheme for small defaulters, In this scheme no interest will be charged after the A/c has become NPA were outstanding are less than Rs 5.00 Lacs as on 30.11.2013, 10% of additional rebate on principal outstanding, 15% additional rebate where loan remained NPA from 30.11.2008. He further said that the last date of receipt of application from the borrows is 15.3.2014 and avail this opportunity to clear your liabilities under National Lok adalat scheme being organized under the supervision of J&K high court Legal services authority . The payment modality is 10% of outstanding up front money at the time of application, 20% of settled amount within 15 days of sanction. The scheme is implemented from 28tjh Jan, 2014 he added. |
