| Three stabbed in separate incidents | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 27 : Three persons including a woman were stabbed at different places in and around Jammu within last 24 hours. Sources said that a confectioner identified as Nasir Ali son of Nazir Ahmed of Majalta Udhampur presently at jewel was going to Bishnah area at early hours when two miscreants intercepted him at Mandir-Masjid point. He further said that the miscreants started searching his pockets and when he resisted the interceptors stabbed him. After that the miscreants tried to escape but one of them has been arrested by police. The injured was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) where his condition was stated to be stable. Meanwhile, a 70 year-old man was also stabbed over a petty issue in Narwal area. The victim has been identified as Mirza parveez Ahmed of Narwal. Police sources said that incident took place when grandson of victim went to a shop to purchase some house hold items where he had some arguments with shopkeeper over Rs 10. Later, the victim too has arguments with the shopkeeper following which the shopkeeper allegedly thrashed him and later stabbed him. In Nagrota area, a 26 year-old woman was allegedly stabbed by some miscreants when she was going for medical checkup. The victim has been identified as Irshad Bibi wife of Rafiq Ali. Relatives of the victim said that Irshad was going to medical checkup but she was intercepted by some miscreants who tried to take her to abandoned area. When she resisted, the miscreants allegedly thrashed and stabbed her, said relatives of victim. Later, the victim was shifted to GMC&H for treatment. Police have registered all the cases and started investigation. |
