Police solves army jawan's murder mystery

Jammu, Jan 27 : In a major breakthrough police today cracked the murder mystery of an army jawan, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Khour area of Akhnoor. Police said that on January 23, one Reeta Raina, wife of the deceased Rocky Raina, resident of Rattanpur, Jourian, at present Arya Samaj Mohalla, Akhnoor filed a written complaint that on the intervening night of January 23 and 24 some unknown persons have murdered her husband at Khowara, Khour who was working as Sepoy in 25 Punjab presently posted in Chennai.
On this a case under FIR number 7/2014 under section 302 of RPC was registered and investigations started.Based on reliable source, it was found that white Alto car was parked at the scene of crime on the evening of January 23. Working on these clues and other technical leads the police zeroed in one suspect namely Vikash Raina, resident of Durga Nagar, Bantalab, Jammu. Vikas was the first cousin of the deceased. During interrogation, Vikash Raina confessed to his involvement in the murder along with three associates identified as Gagandeep, Rajeev Kumar and Parvinder Kumar, all residents of Durga Nagar Bantalab,. These four persons came to Akhnoor in Vikash's car JK02AW-5176 and called the victim near Fowhara Chowk, Akhnoor through phone and when the deceased reached there on his motorcycle JK02AP-9436, the accused asked him to accompany them to Khowara to buy a motorcycle. The deceased agreed and sat in the Vikash's car where as his motorcycle was driven by one of the accused. When they reached Khowara around 7:45 PM all the accused persons with common and criminal intension to commit the murder of the deceased attacked him with stones and a kirch. During investigation all four accused persons have been arrested and weapon of offence was recovered on the disclosure of accused Vikash Raina. Further investigation of the case is going on to find the motive and involvement of any other person.
