| PDP holds meeting at Rakh Baran, several join party | | | early times report Marh, Feb 2: A meeting of workers of Peoples Democratic Party was organized by Suram Singh Chib, District Rural president at Rakh Baran on Sunday. The meeting was attended by party workers in strength including local populace. The objective of the meeting was to aware workers about the policies of PDP. Speaking on the occasion Surma Singh appraised general masses about good ruling during the tenure of PDP under former Chief Minister Sayed Mufti. He said during Mufti's regime from 2002 to 2005, all problems of public viz electricity, employment, peace and tranquility, disbursement of rations, road connectivity including starting of trade with Pakistan were promptly addressed to. The progress made in those three years span and dismal governance of present regime can be openly gauzed by general public in a transparent manner and this should be eye opener to public to differentiate between good and bad governance. Besides, he said that present NC-Congress regime failed on all fronts, corruption is rampant, red tapism is everywhere, unemployment is at its peak, there is no solid policies for youth including general public is facing heavy load shedding despite the fact that State has abundant natural resources of water for generating HE projects and poor system of distribution of rations. Meanwhile, party's policies about 100 peoples belonging to NC, Congress and BJP voluntarily joined PDP during the meeting. Welcoming the entrants into party Singh appreciated their timely and wise decision and thanked them for strengthening party. The meeting was attended by Block President Vikram Singh Langeh, Rash Pal Bittoo, Dy SP (Retd) Lal Chand, Dile Ram, Kuldeep Sharma, Ashok, and Kashmir Singh.
