Jammu, Feb 2: President Billawar Zila Andolan, Hari Chand Jalmeria has expressed anguish over the decision of the state government for not creating Billawar district, despite long exercise undertaken by the Cabinet Sub-committee.
"By ignoring the demand of district of Billawar, the government has perpetuated the injustice and discrimination faced by the people of that area", he said, adding that the present coalition government was simply sidetracking the issue of creation of new districts by creating powerless Cabinet Sub-committee.
Jalmeria said that the people of Billawar area would intensify their struggle for Billawar district. |
