Jammu,Feb 2: Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has launched special registration facility for the NRI pilgrims, official spokesman here today said."On the instructions of Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra, who is also the Chairman of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, a mechanism has been put in place to enable NRI and ex-Indian pilgrims to register themselves for the Yatra 2014," SASB Chief Executive Officer Navin K Choudhary in a statement issued here said. He said the facility has been specially established in view of the fact that a good number of devotees living abroad undertake this annual Yatra.Mr Aggarwal stated that an ex-India pilgrim shall need to furnish scanned copies of filled-in Application Form, Compulsory Health Certificate and scanned photograph, which should be sent to '[email protected]' and also be arranged to deposit the prescribed Registration Fee of Rs 500 in the account number of the designated Branch of the Punjab National Bank."Ex-India pilgrim should obtain a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC), issued after February 1, 2014, from the National Health Services of the country in which he or she resides or from a reputed Private Hospital," he added.Mr Aggarwal, further, said, the intending ex-India Yatri will be informed through email whether they have been registered for the Yatra and the address of the Bank Branch at Jammu and Srinagar from where the pilgrim should collect Yatra Permit."The detailed procedure for registering pilgrims and the formats of Application Form and Compulsory Health Certificate have been put on the Shrine Board's internet domain which may be seen at www.shriamarnathjishrine.com," said the CEO. |
